We are pleased to announce that Pinewood Studios have come on board as a new sponsor for this year’s Women in Film and Television Awards. They will sponsor the Best Performance Award – which recognises outstanding acting achievement, by a female performer in TV, film or digital media within the last two years. Previous winners of the Best Performance Award include Carey Mulligan, Olivia Colman, Sheridan Smith and Charlotte Rampling.
Pinewood Studios Group Brand Director, Nadya Jary (pictured), said: “We are thrilled to sponsor the WFTV Best Performance Award. Pinewood believes it is important to recognise the outstanding achievements of women both on and off screen and supports WFTV in their mission to achieve a fairer industry for all.”
Pinewood Studios joins a number of other industry organisations as sponsors of the event, including headline sponsor Sky.
WFTV CEO, Kate Kinninmont said: “We’re hugely delighted to have Sky as our headline sponsor once again, and are excited to welcome new award sponsor Pinewood Studios. We are also pleased to continue working with our existing sponsors: Argonon, Barclays, BBC, Creative Skillset, Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, EIKON, ENVY, EON Productions, The Farm, Film Finances, ITV Studios, NEP UK, Panalux, Schedule 2, Technicolor and Visual Data Media Service. Their support allows us to carry out the important year-round work that we do for our members and for all women in the industry.”
